Norovirus strikes at the RNC in Cleveland OH

The Ohio department of health was notified on Monday 7/18/16 about the outbreak of Norovirus among staffers at the Republican National Convention. All of those affected are staying at the Kalahari resort in Sandusky, Oh, about 60 miles away from Cleveland. On Monday, 11 visitors to the resort had fallen ill from the virus and by Tuesday an additional dozen staffers from the California delegation had been struck. Norovirus can be caught through contact with infected people or the surfaces they touch.  Symptoms include stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. According to the CDC, every year about 19 to 21 million people become sick with Norovirus.
