The manufacturers of the emitters list the life at 12,000 hours but that is assumed to be continuous use. The number of on/off cycles will reduce the effectiveness of the emitter and shorten its life. UVC Cleaning Systems measures the efficiency of the emitters at the 254nm wave length during the treatment cycle. When the UVC energy drops below a given threshold the unit alerts the operator that service is required.
There three small LEDs (red, yellow, and green) on the UVC Cleaning Systems equipment that display the error code for each service incident.
